Where they start to apply and where they end
Mandatory signs prescribe a specific way of driving: a direction at the intersection, passing an obstacle on a given side, using the cycle or pedestrian path, a minimum speed, snow chains. A prescribed direction applies at the nearest intersection or at the place where the sign stands. Signs C-13 and C-16 can be combined on one board as a shared path for pedestrians and cyclists.
