What cookies are and on what basis we use them
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The latweprawko.pl Service uses cookies that are necessary for it to work and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. The legal basis is Art. 399 of the Act of 12 July 2024 - Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej) (Journal of Laws (Dz.U.) of 2024, item 1221, as amended): cookies necessary to provide a service you have requested do not require consent (Art. 399(3)(2)), while the others require consent, to which the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Polish: RODO) apply (Art. 400 of that Act), and which you can withdraw at any time without affecting earlier processing. We process personal data from analytics and marketing cookies on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), on the terms set out in the Privacy Policy.
The Łatweprawko mobile app does not use cookies; it is described in section 10 of the Privacy Policy.
Necessary cookies (no consent required)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| latweprawko-session | session: keeping you logged in, the order, forms, messages | 2 hours from the last activity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | protecting forms against request forgery | 2 hours |
| remember_web_* | remembering your login when the "Keep me logged in" option is ticked when logging in (you can untick it) and when logging in via Google, Apple or Facebook | 400 days (about 13 months) or until logout |
| lp_trusted_device | remembering the device after two-step verification, when you ask for it | 30 days |
| lp_demo | identifier of the free mock exam without an account: the daily limit of attempts and the transfer of results to the Account after registration (only a hash in the database) | 30 days |
| lp_locale | the remembered language of the public pages, set when you visit a language version so that the mock exam without an account works in the same language | 1 year |
| lp_exam_intro | information that the exam instructions have already been shown (stored after you click) | 1 year |
| lp_consent | your saved choice in the cookie banner (so that we do not ask again) | 1 year |
Apart from cookies, the Service stores three functional settings in browser storage (localStorage), without any personal identifier and without sending them to the server: information that the exam instructions have been shown, the course scope chosen in learning and the list of signs marked as "I know it". They remain until the browser data is cleared and do not require consent, because they serve only the features you use.
Analytics and marketing cookies (with consent)
The cookie banner appears only when at least one of the tools below is enabled in the Service. Until consent is given, the Meta and TikTok scripts are not loaded. The Google script (gtag.js) loads immediately in Consent Mode v2 with the "denied" setting: it neither stores nor reads cookies, but sends Google signals without a user identifier (page address, traffic source, timestamp, browser type, information that consent has not been given), from which Google estimates statistics in aggregate. Only after you give consent does Google store the cookies listed below.
| Category | Tool and provider | Example cookies | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) | _ga, ga* | which pages and features are used and where visitors come from; Google receives the identifier from the cookie and device data, and we view the reports in aggregate | up to 2 years |
| Marketing | Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) | _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gs, _gcl_dc | measuring conversions from Google ads and ad targeting | 90 days |
| Marketing | Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) | _fbp, _fbc | measuring conversions from ads on Facebook and Instagram, ad targeting | up to 90 days |
| Marketing | TikTok Pixel (TikTok Technology Limited, Ireland, jointly with TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited) | ttp, ttcsid*, ttclid | measuring conversions from TikTok ads, ad targeting | up to 13 months from the last activity |
The providers of these tools may combine data from the Service with data from your account with them. Google and Meta transfer data to the USA on the basis of the Data Privacy Framework (certified entities) or standard contractual clauses; TikTok on the basis of standard contractual clauses, also to other countries in which its group operates (including China), in accordance with the TikTok privacy policy. Details are in the privacy policies of Google, Meta and TikTok and in sections 5 and 6 of our Privacy Policy.
Basic statistics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) work without cookies and without a persistent identifier: the script transmits the page address, traffic source, device type and browser, and the daily identifier is calculated from a hash and deleted after 24 hours. We take the view that they do not store information on your device and do not require consent; we process this data on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and you may object to this.
How to manage consent and cookies
- You can change your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of the Service pages. You can switch analytics and marketing cookies on or off separately.
- After you withdraw consent, no new cookies are stored and the scripts stop working once the page is refreshed; delete cookies previously stored by the providers in your browser settings.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and from using the mock exam without an account.
- Choosing "Necessary only" is just as easy as "Accept all" and does not restrict access to the Service.
