The Łatweprawko knowledge base is 46 guides to the Polish driving licence: from the candidate profile, through the course and the exams, to the first months behind the wheel. They are written from acts, regulations and gov.pl pages, each has a list of sources and the date its legal status was checked, and the numbers (fees, points, deadlines) are the same in every text.

The road to a Polish driving licence step by step

Six stages in the order you will go through them. Each with the guide that explains what to arrange and what it costs.

  1. 01

    Candidate profile (PKK)

You set up your PKK number at the transport department (wydział komunikacji) or online before you sign up for a course. You need a medical certificate and a photo.

  2. 02

    Medical examination

A doctor authorised to examine drivers issues a certificate stating whether you can drive vehicles of the given category. Without it you will not get a PKK.

  3. 03

Course at a driving school (OSK)

Theory classes, practical lessons and first aid. After the course the instructor closes the training in your profile and you can book the exam.

  4. 04

    Theory test at the WORD

32 questions from the official catalogue in 25 minutes, pass mark 68 of 74 points, the result on the screen straight away. A passed theory test is valid indefinitely.

  5. 05

    Practical test

The manoeuvring area and driving in city traffic with an examiner. The result depends on the tasks set out in the regulation, not on a whim.

  6. 06

Collecting the document and the probation period

A temporary licence in the mObywatel app right after the exam, the card at the transport department. A first category B licence means a probation period with its own rules.

How these guides are made

Sources, not opinions

Every text has at least two sources, including government ones: the Journal of Laws, gov.pl, the WORD. Numbers are quoted from the legal act, not from other articles.

A check date

Under the title you see when we checked the legal status. Fees and deadlines that change carry a note with the month they apply to.

One set of numbers across the base

Exam fees, points, limits and the dates rules take effect are the same in every guide, because they come from one set of facts.

Four languages, one law

The Ukrainian, English and German versions describe Polish rules for people living in Poland. Polish names of institutions stay in the text, with an explanation.

Questions about the knowledge base

Do the guides cover the Polish driving licence?

Yes, all of them. We describe the rules in force in Poland: the Act on Vehicle Drivers, the Road Traffic Act, the regulations on examinations, road signs and penalty points, and the procedures at the WORD test centres and transport departments.

How do I know the information is up to date?

Every guide has the date its legal status was checked and a list of sources with addresses. Fees and deadlines set by the regions or changed by amendments carry a note with the month they apply to. When the law changes, we update the text and the date.

Is the knowledge base available in Ukrainian, English and German?

Yes. Every guide has a version in four languages, with the same numbers and sources. The foreign-language versions are meant for people getting a Polish licence or driving in Poland, so Polish names of institutions and documents stay in the text with an explanation.

How is the knowledge base different from the blog?

The knowledge base holds guides on rules and procedures, written from legal acts and updated when the law changes. The blog holds texts about learning, the question catalogue and the service itself.

How do I combine reading with studying for the test?

Guides about the exam and the rules end with a list of the official catalogue questions they relate to. After reading, go to those questions or take a mock exam on the test centre rules straight away: 32 questions, 25 minutes, the same scoring.

Test yourself A mock exam like the real one: the same questions, the same timing, your result straight away.
