In the situation presented, are you on a road with the right of way?

In the photo you are driving in fog along a dual-carriageway street in a city behind a dark car; on the right there are signs D-1 "priority road" and C-5 "go straight on", and further on B-33 "70". You are on a priority road. The answer is: yes.

The Regulation on road signs and signals states that sign D-1 "priority road" marks the beginning or continuation of a priority road, and sign C-5 requires you to go straight on at the nearest junction. The yellow diamond tells you that at the nearest junction vehicles from the intersecting roads must give way to you - they see signs A-7 or B-20. However, right of way is not a guarantee: in fog a driver on an intersecting road may see you too late, and the Road Traffic Act requires particular caution when approaching every junction and in conditions of reduced visibility. You go straight on, as required, with dipped headlights, slower than the sign allows, and you watch the entrances of the intersecting roads, ready to brake if someone fails to give way.
