Is a first-aid kit a piece of obligatory equipment in any motor vehicle?
Show the correct answer
Correct answer
B. No, but it's good to have it.
Explanation
In the photo you can see an open red car first-aid kit with dressings, bandages and first-aid instructions. A first-aid kit is not mandatory equipment of every motor vehicle, but it is worth having one - answer B. Answer A is wrong, and an LPG system (C) has nothing to do with a first-aid kit.
The Regulation on the technical conditions of vehicles lists the mandatory equipment of a motor vehicle: among other things a warning triangle and a fire extinguisher, but a first-aid kit is not on this list; it is required only in some vehicles, for example in buses and taxis. You will not get a fine for not having a first-aid kit in a passenger car, but the Road Traffic Act requires a person involved in an accident to give the necessary help to the injured, and without dressings, gloves and a thermal blanket it is hard to do this effectively. A good first-aid kit costs a few dozen PLN and can save someone's life.
Legal basis: § 11 para. 1 point 13 and 14 of the Regulation on the technical conditions of vehicles and the scope of their necessary equipment; Art. 44 para. 2 point 1 of the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym)
