Which of the following elements constitute the equipment of a bus whose permissible speed limit is 100 km/h?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

B. A first aid kit.

Explanation

In the photo you can see the side of a blue bus, and next to it a first aid kit with emergency numbers and a sign requiring seat belts to be fastened. Compulsory equipment of a bus whose permitted speed is 100 km/h is a first aid kit - answer B.

The Regulation on the technical conditions of vehicles requires every bus, except a city bus, to have a first aid kit - this also applies to a bus allowed to travel at 100 km/h. Additional requirements are set for such a bus, but not those in the other answers. Tyres must have a tread depth of at least 3 mm, not 6 mm (answer A). Seat belts must be at least two-point belts, and belts on all seats are required in newer buses - the rule does not require three-point belts everywhere (answer C). You check the first aid kit before setting off, because in an accident involving many passengers every dressing counts.

Legal basis: § 18 para. 1 point 5 and § 23 para. 4 point 3, 6 and 7 of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure on the technical conditions of vehicles and the scope of their necessary equipment
