Question no. 7033 3 pts basic PT

Are you obliged to exercise particular caution in this situation?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

YES

Explanation

In the video a tram is approaching a pedestrian crossing that goes across the tram tracks and the roadway. There are already pedestrians on the crossing - a woman with a pushchair, a cyclist wheeling a bicycle and other people - and next to it, on the roadway, a car is moving. In this situation you are obliged to exercise particular caution - the answer is YES.

When approaching a pedestrian crossing, the driver of a tram must exercise particular caution, reduce speed so as not to put pedestrians in danger, and give way to a pedestrian who is on the crossing. People with a pushchair or wheeling a bicycle move more slowly and may need more time. So you slow down early enough and watch the whole crossing.

Legal basis: Art. 26 para. 1a and Art. 2 point 22 of the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym)
