The Road Traffic Act requires that a vehicle and the way it is used do not endanger people's safety, and petrol is an extremely flammable liquid whose vapours ignite on a hot surface without an open flame. On a motorcycle the tank sits directly above the engine, and after a ride the exhaust manifolds are at several hundred degrees - spilled fuel runs straight onto them and may catch fire together with your trousers. That is why you fill up with the engine switched off (answer C is wrong), slowly, you do not overfill the tank and you wipe off any drops before starting. The three-quarters rule (answer A) does not exist: you can fill the tank, you only need to leave room for the fuel to expand in hot weather, which the design of the filler takes care of. Before filling up you stand the motorcycle steadily, preferably on the centre stand, and you take off your gloves to feel when the nozzle switches off.
