How should you brake on a wet surface?

In the photo there is a wet junction in town on a rainy day: a red light, a pedestrian on the crossing and cars on the slippery roadway. On a slippery surface you brake a moped with the front and rear brakes - answer A.

Both brakes used at the same time spread the braking force over two wheels, so each of them must transmit a smaller force and a skid is less likely. On a wet roadway you press the levers gently and gradually, not suddenly, because a locked wheel immediately loses grip. The rear brake alone (answer C) easily locks the rear wheel, and it also gives weak braking, because when you brake, the weight moves to the front. Engine braking with the help of your feet (answer B) is ineffective and dangerous - lowered feet can get caught and pulled under. On a slippery surface it is best to ride more slowly, leave a bigger gap and start braking earlier, before the painted stripes of the crossing.
