The Regulation on road signs and signals states that sign D-6 marks a pedestrian crossing, D-6a - a cycle crossing, and D-6b "pedestrian crossing and cycle crossing" - both these places located next to each other; a driver approaching them must reduce speed so as not to put pedestrians or cyclists in danger. The Road Traffic Act requires you to give way to a pedestrian who is on the crossing or stepping onto it and to a cyclist who is on the cycle crossing. The two groups move at different speeds, so you look separately at the pavement and separately at the cycle path on both sides; the traffic lights help, but they do not free you from paying attention, because someone may walk or ride out on red.
