When do you have to carry out a periodic technical check-up of a passenger car?

The Road Traffic Act states that the registering authority enters the date of the technical inspection in the vehicle registration certificate, and after a positive inspection the vehicle inspector issues a certificate and enters the next date, if there is free space in that section of the registration certificate. How often it is done depends on the type of vehicle: a passenger car is inspected for the first time before 3 years have passed since its first registration, then before 5 years have passed since that registration, and then every year, while a bus is inspected every six months. That is why there is no single rule "every 3 years" (answer A) or "every 2 years" (answer B) - for example, an agricultural tractor and a moped are inspected every 2 years after the first 3 years. It is worth checking the inspection date in advance, because after the deadline the vehicle must not be driven.
