If you see such a posture of the traffic control police officer, can you enter the intersection?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

NO

Explanation

In the photo, you can see a police officer directing traffic, who is standing facing us with the right arm raised upwards. When you see this position, you may not enter the junction - the answer is NO.

A position facing approaching vehicles, or with the back to them, means no entry into the junction. Raising the arm upwards means that the signal is about to change: for those whose traffic was stopped, there will soon be permission to go, and for those whose traffic was allowed - a ban. So this is not a signal permitting entry. You stop the tram and wait until the police officer stands side-on to you.

Legal basis: § 108 para. 3-4 of the Regulation on road signs and signals; Art. 5 para. 2 of the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym)
