Which of the following control lights indicates that the emergency lights are on?
Show the correct answer
Correct answer
A. A.
Explanation
In the drawing, three symbols: A - a red double triangle, B - green lamps with rays to the sides, C - a blue headlamp. Hazard warning lights switched on are indicated by light A - answer A.
The double triangle symbol repeats the shape of the reflective warning triangle and has the same purpose: to warn about a vehicle that is standing where it should not be. The warning light usually flashes together with all the indicators. The Road Traffic Act requires you to use hazard warning lights, among other things, to signal that a vehicle is parked because of a breakdown or an accident, and outside a built-up area together with a warning triangle placed 30-50 m behind the vehicle. Symbol B (answer B) is sidelights (position lights), and the blue headlamp (answer C) - main beam (high beam). Do not treat hazard warning lights as a pass that allows you to park in a prohibited place. In a tractor with a trailer, check that the trailer's indicators also flash - these are the ones that drivers behind you can see.
