Is it allowed to drive a lorry of a single axle load of 10 tons on the road marked in such a way?

In the photo you are driving on a road through a town; on the right there are red signs E-15a with national road numbers - these are signs for a national road number with a permitted axle load of up to 11.5 t. On a road marked like this, driving a lorry with a single axle load of 10 t is allowed. The answer is: yes.

The Regulation on road signs and signals states that sign E-15a "national road number with a permitted axle load of up to 11.5 t" shows the number and category of the road, and at the same time means that vehicles with a single axle load not exceeding 11.5 t may use the road. The Public Roads Act sets the same limit as a general rule for public roads; lower limits, 10 t or 8 t, may be introduced by the road authority only on selected roads, by marking them with sign B-19 or with versions of the E-15 signs showing a lower value (E-15f, E-15g). An axle load of 10 t is therefore well within the limit on the sign - and it would be within the limit even if the sign allowed only 10 t. You must know the axle loads of the vehicle combination from the documents or from weighing, because exceeding the limit means driving an abnormal (oversize or overweight) vehicle, which requires a permit.
