Are you allowed to drive into the car wash through this road?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

NO

Explanation

In the photo, before the entrance to a petrol station, there is sign B-2 "no entry" - a red circle with a white horizontal bar. It prohibits entry to this road from the side from which you are looking at it. So you cannot use this entrance to get to the car wash. The answer is: no.

The Regulation on road signs and signals says that B-2 means a ban on vehicles entering a road or roadway from the side where it is placed. Such signs are found at exits from petrol stations, car parks and one-way streets: traffic is allowed from the other side, and from here you may only drive out. You will find the entrance to the car wash at another access point - driving in against the flow of traffic could end in a collision with a car driving out.

Legal basis: § 17 para. 1 of the Regulation on road signs and signals
