In this situation, are you approaching an intersection with a track that has the right of way?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

YES

Explanation

In the photo we are driving a tram towards a place where our track joins other tram tracks. Next to the track there is sign A-7 "give way" with a plate showing the layout of the track with right of way, below it there are traffic lights, and another tram is coming from the opposite direction. In this situation you are approaching a crossing with tram tracks that have right of way - the answer is YES.

Sign A-7 warns of a junction with a priority road and requires you to give way, and the plate below it shows the actual layout of the priority road. So right of way belongs to trams running on the track marked on the plate with a thick line. If necessary, you stop and let through the tram running on the track with right of way, and only move off when you will not force anyone to brake.

Legal basis: § 5 para. 5-7 of the Regulation on road signs and signals
