Question no. 10907 3 pts basic AM

In this situation, are you on a road with right of way?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

NO

Explanation

In the video we approach a junction near a large car park; at the right-hand edge there are sign A-7 "give way", the blue sign C-2 "turn right beyond the sign", a white end-of-zone sign and a sign for a pedestrian crossing and cycle crossing. In this situation you are not on a priority road - the answer is NO.

Sign A-7 warns of a junction with a priority road - since it stands in front of you, you are on a minor road and must give way to vehicles travelling on that other road. The round blue sign C-2 with an arrow shows that beyond the sign you must turn right. The white end-of-zone sign has nothing to do with priority. Giving way means that you must not force a driver on the priority road to brake or change their path, so before entering you slow down, stop if necessary and watch the left side.

Legal basis: § 5 para. 5 and § 35 para. 1 of the Regulation on road signs and signals; Art. 2 point 23 of the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym)
