Question no. 10174 1 pts basic B

In this situation, are you being warned of three dangerous bends?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

YES

Explanation

In the video, you are driving on a road through maize fields; on the right there is a yellow triangle with an arrow bent first to the left, then to the right - sign A-4 "dangerous bends - first to the left" - and under it plate T-4 with the number 3. You are warned of three dangerous bends. The answer is: yes.

The Regulation on road signs and signals states that signs A-3 "dangerous bends - first to the right" and A-4 "dangerous bends - first to the left" warn of dangerous bends, the first of which is in the direction shown on the sign, and plate T-4 placed under them shows a number of bends greater than two; plate T-5 would mark the beginning of a winding road. Sign A-4 alone refers to two bends; the plate with the number three tells you that there will be three: left, right and left again. A series of bends is more dangerous than a single one: entering the first one too fast spoils your line through the next ones. Warning signs require you to exercise particular caution - you slow down before the first bend, do not brake sharply in the bends, keep to the right and do not overtake, because the Road Traffic Act prohibits overtaking a power-driven vehicle on a bend marked with warning signs.

Legal basis: § 4 para. 2 and 3 and § 3 para. 1 of the Regulation on road signs and signals; Art. 24 para. 7 point 2 of the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym)
