Which of these factors should you take into account when executing an overtaking manoeuvre?

In the photo, you are driving in winter along a road through a forest and overtaking a lorry, driving on the left side of the roadway next to its load body, and snow dust is rising from under its wheels. When overtaking, you should pay attention to keeping a safe distance - answer B. The temperature inside the car (A) has nothing to do with the manoeuvre, and the distance from vehicles behind (C) is not decisive here.

The Road Traffic Act requires a driver who is overtaking to exercise particular caution, in particular to keep a safe distance from the vehicle or road user being overtaken; before the manoeuvre the driver must make sure that they have sufficient visibility and enough space, that nobody behind has started overtaking them, and that the vehicle in front is not signalling a change of direction or lane. The lateral clearance from the lorry matters doubly here: the lorry may be pushed sideways by a gust of wind or a rut, and the cloud of snow and mud from under its wheels takes away your visibility for a moment. So you overtake at the left edge of your lane, with the wipers on, without slowing down next to the semi-trailer, and you return to the right lane only when you can see the whole cab in the interior mirror.
