G-3 St Andrew's cross before a single-track level crossing
What it means
Stands directly before a single-track level crossing without barriers. It marks the stopping place when a train approaches: you stop before the cross if there is no P-12 line. It also means the tracks are just beyond the sign and particular care is required.
Before a crossing without barriers marked with cross G-3 or G-4 you need not always stop, but you must make sure no train is approaching. With a red or audible signal, stopping is compulsory.
