F-23 Centre multipurpose lane
What it means
Marks the start of a road section in a built-up area with a centre multipurpose lane: the lane between the two directions is for vehicles turning left and for vehicles joining the road from properties and side roads (the blue board shows three lanes: the outer ones with traffic in opposite directions, the middle one with left-turn arrows from both sides). Overtaking is prohibited on this section. The sign stands on the left side of the road, up to 50 m past sign B-2 or C-9, and is repeated when the section is longer than 500 m. Introduced on 19 February 2026 (Dz.U. 2026 poz. 133).
In the exam
The centre lane is not for overtaking or driving straight on: you enter it only to turn left or to join the traffic.
