What it means

Marks the start of an additional lane on the side shown, e.g. before a climb or where the carriageway widens.

Legal basis: § 49 of the regulation of the Ministers of Infrastructure and of the Interior and Administration on road signs and signals (Dz.U. 2019 poz. 2310, as amended).
