B-18 No vehicles with an actual total mass over ... t

What it means

Bans vehicles whose actual total mass (vehicle plus load and occupants) exceeds the value on the sign. For a combination the masses are added up. Typical before bridges of limited load capacity.

In the exam

B-18 refers to the actual mass at that moment, not the maximum permitted mass in the registration document. An empty lorry with a permitted mass of 12 t and an actual mass of 7 t may pass a sign showing 10.
