The Road Traffic Act requires a driver involved in an accident in which someone is injured to give the necessary help to the victims, and the Criminal Code punishes failure to give help. According to the resuscitation guidelines, you press the middle of the chest to a depth of about 5-6 cm at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute, which is roughly two per second. A rate of 60-80 (answer B) is too slow - the blood then does not reach the brain well enough. A rate of 140-160 (answer C) is too fast - the heart does not have time to fill with blood between compressions. After every 30 compressions you give 2 rescue breaths, if you know how and can give them safely.
