Question no. 7445 2 pts specialist BB1

To which of the following activities aren't you allowed to use a passenger car?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

C. To pull children on a sleigh.

Explanation

You are not allowed to use a passenger car to pull children on a sledge - answer C. Pulling a light trailer (A) and towing another passenger car in a built-up area (B) are allowed if you meet the conditions set out in the rules.

The Road Traffic Act prohibits a driver from pulling behind the vehicle a person on a sledge or a similar device, a person riding an electric scooter, a person using a mobility aid, an animal or a load. A sledge behind a car has no brakes or protection, and a child on it may slide under the wheels or hit an obstacle at the first bend - this is an absolute ban, also on estate roads and field tracks. You may pull a light trailer of up to 750 kg with a category B driving licence, and towing in town is allowed at up to 30 km/h, with a rigid or flexible tow bar or rope, and with a warning triangle on the towed vehicle.

Legal basis: Art. 60 para. 2 point 4 and Art. 31 para. 1 of the Road Traffic Act (Prawo o ruchu drogowym); Art. 6 para. 1 point 6 letter b of the Vehicle Drivers Act (ustawa o kierujących pojazdami)
