What should you do upon occurrence of an excessive wheel slip (Spinning) during start-up?

In the photo you can see a tram bogie with wheels. If there is excessive wheel slip (wheel spin) when starting, you should reduce the intensity of the tram's acceleration - answer B.

Wheel spin means that the driving force is greater than the grip of the wheels on the rails allows. You reduce it by moving the master controller back, and if needed you use the sander. Increasing the intensity (answer C) would make the slip worse and would damage the wheels and the rails. Stopping the tram (answer A) is not necessary, because the slip usually stops once the driving force is reduced. On slippery rails you start gently from the very beginning. Do not force the tram to accelerate faster.
