Correct answer
C. At a local or regional vehicle inspection station.
Explanation
In the photo you can see the hall of a vehicle inspection station: a maroon estate car on a lift, with a test lane and measuring instruments next to it. Periodic technical inspections are carried out only at a basic or district vehicle inspection station - answer C. An ordinary garage (A) or an authorised service centre (B) does not have the right to do this, even if it is well equipped.
The Road Traffic Act states that a technical inspection is carried out, after paying a fee, at a basic vehicle inspection station - within the scope of periodic inspections of vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of up to 3.5 t - or at a district vehicle inspection station, which inspects all vehicles and carries out additional inspections. The station is run by a business entered in the register, and the inspection is carried out by an authorised vehicle inspector, who enters the result in the central vehicle register and in the vehicle registration certificate. A service centre can repair the car and prepare it for the inspection, but it cannot stamp the certificate confirming the inspection.
