In the situation presented, where traffic routes intersect, is the driver required to yield the right of way to a vehicle approaching from the right?

In the photo, you are driving across a car park without marked lanes and without signs; a silver car is approaching from the right, against a background of trees, and your paths cross. In this situation, you are obliged to give way to the vehicle coming from the right. The answer is: yes.

The Road Traffic Act states that when approaching a junction, the driver of a vehicle is obliged to exercise particular caution and give way to a vehicle approaching from the right, and that this rule also applies when directions of traffic cross outside a junction. A car park has no junctions within the meaning of the Act, but the right-hand rule works there in the same way - wherever the paths of two vehicles cross and nothing else decides the right of way. The silver car is approaching from your right, so it is you who wait. The only different case is moving off from a parking space: anyone who leaves a parking bay after parking, or who reverses, is joining traffic (włączanie się do ruchu) and always gives way to those driving along the aisle. In a car park everyone is looking at free spaces, not at others, so you assume that a driver on your left may not know that they have to give way to you.
