Question illustration: Does the visible sign warn you that you are approaching a ferry crossing?

Does the visible sign warn you that you are approaching a ferry crossing?

Show the correct answer

Correct answer

NO

Explanation

In the photo you can see a road in a village, with a river flowing along its right side, just beyond a barrier; by the right edge of the road there is sign A-27 "quay or river bank". This sign does not warn that you are approaching a ferry crossing - the answer is NO.

Sign A-27 "quay or river bank" warns of a section of road leading directly to a quay or along the bank of a river or another body of water. A ferry crossing is warned of by a different set - sign A-30 "other danger" with plate T-11 showing a ferry. Here the river flows along the road, separated from it only by a barrier. If you leave the road in such a place, you may end up in the water, so you drive carefully and keep to the roadway.
