Which of these driving techniques applies to the term "eco-driving"?

In the photo, you are driving behind a black car along a road through a town, between houses and advertisements. The technique that fits the term "eco-driving" is avoiding sudden braking and acceleration - answer B. Frequent use of the service brake (A) and frequent gear changes (C) increase fuel consumption.

Every sudden acceleration is fuel turned into energy of motion, and every sudden braking is the same energy turned into heat in the brake pads - and thrown away. A driver who pulls away calmly, changes up early, keeps an even speed and anticipates from far away that the lights will change to red, loses speed using the engine and touches the brake less often in general; they burn over ten percent less fuel, and in town even a few dozen percent less, than a driver who drives "from one set of lights to the next". Smooth driving also saves the brakes and tyres, and above all gives you more time to react. Changing gear often does not save anything by itself; what counts is driving in the highest possible gear at low revs. The Road Traffic Act prohibits using a vehicle in a way that causes excessive exhaust emissions - smooth driving is the simplest way to produce fewer exhaust fumes.
